The past two months have been a time of preparation, transition, closing a chapter, and many “see you laters” to the many people who have become special to us. During my second trip to the north of Thailand, I visited several places in search of where God would have us begin our new ministry outreach and, prayerfully, a new church. After a week and a half, thanks to the help of my brother and cousin, we found a nice place where we can live and a temporary place to hold Bible studies and services. The landlord, although not a Christian, is very welcoming to Christians and happily showed us the living room, saying it would be a perfect place to fill with people for services. We are hoping eventually she will join us too.

My cousin put me in contact with a couple of families looking for a Baptist church to be a part of and another church whose pastor passed away. The church has nearly died out. We are hoping to develop relationships with the few people left behind and possibly, in the future, be able to use their church building and maybe help rebuild the church. As a way to extend our hand of friendship to this church, we donated some chairs, fans, and a pulpit. Doors were starting to open as we met people and made connections even before we moved. We eventually hope to partner with different church plants in the north that are getting started and be a blessing to them in their beginning stages. At the end of March, we officially transitioned to our new location. We have since met with a couple of families, had a service with a man I hope to partner with, and begun inviting people we meet while out and about. Please pray for us as we learn our new area, build relationships, and share the Gospel; pray for doors to continue to open for us to serve our Saviour.

Before moving, we had a great final two months with everyone. We had a special Sunday for Valentine’s Day with one visitor and a fun time with the couples who attended our service. On the last Sunday in February, we had around 30 people, with 5 visitors at our home. It was a special Sunday to celebrate Nong PoPo graduating from 12th grade. She has been a part of our church since 4th grade and was the first of our youth to finish school and go to college to be a CNA. So many quit school in their teens and start working. We praise the Lord for her faithfulness and heart to help others.

The following is an update about my teeth situation: I’ve had three surgeries, and at the end of April, I will go for a checkup and get a molding for the teeth. By the end of May, Lord willing, my teeth situation will be finished.
