Daniel’s Testimony

By God’s grace, I had the amazing opportunity to grow up in a godly Christian home. Very early on, I was taught the value of hard work, how to be respectful, and much more. I was raised in a pastor’s home and was shown, by example, that living for Jesus Christ is truly the most amazing way to live life. I believe that the two people who have had the greatest impact on my life are my parents. On February 3, 2007, at a revival meeting, as the preacher preached on the terrors of Hell, I realized that this pastor’s kid was on his way to Hell. I met my Junior Church teacher at the altar and asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and take me to Heaven when I died. The next year at a Youth Conference, I was called to preach. A little while after that at a Missions Conference, I felt God calling me to go to the mission field.

After I graduated from high school, I went to Hyles-Anderson College, where I met my wife Erin. We both graduated in May of 2017. We were married on August 26, 2017. Since our graduation, I have been serving at Temple Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana. My wife joined me here after we were married. I teach a teen Sunday school class, lead our Junior Church, drive our church bus, and am involved in our church’s music ministry. My wife helps in each of these and also plays the piano for the congregational singing.

I have always felt that God wanted us to serve somewhere on the continent of Africa. I have visited missionaries in Ghana and Rwanda. We believe that God has opened the door for us to serve in Nigeria, West Africa, with Missionary Mark Holmes. We are very excited to start deputation and get to the field.

Erin’s Testimony

I had the privilege to grow up in an amazing Christian home. Our family served faithfully in the church and its ministries. Even though I was raised in a godly environment, I was not saved until I was a teenager; the Lord graciously allowed me to hear message after message. Then in 2011 at a Youth Conference, I finally received the assurance of my salvation. While attending Bible college, the Lord allowed me to meet and marry my husband Daniel.

Daniel shared his burden for missions with me, which has become our focus. The Lord has allowed both my husband and me to visit missionaries in Africa, and we feel that He is leading us to this needy field. I am truly excited to see what the Lord has in store for us as we endeavor to reach the lost souls of Nigeria.

Our Ministry

We plan to work with Missionary Mark Holmes and his family in Nigeria. During our first few years, we will be learning the culture and possibly a language. We will be actively involved in many facets of Bro. Holmes’ ministry. Along with working in the local church, we will be helping at the Bible college, preaching the Gospel in the public schools, and working with nationals from the Bible college in church plants.

We believe that God wants us to plant churches. Working with Bro. Holmes, we will be learning from someone who is an established church planter. We look forward to being used of God on deputation and eventually in Nigeria.

Daniel Lang Prayer Letter: Lost Souls Everywhere!

Daniel Lang Prayer Letter: Lost Souls Everywhere!“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” (John‬ 4:35)

As we travel, we are continually made aware of the ripeness of the harvest. Wherever we see people, we see the great need for someone to get them the Gospel. Though we cannot wait for the opportunity to minister in Nigeria, we have been blessed with so many opportunities to get the Gospel to people right here in the States. We must remember that we do not need an atlas to see the mission field; we only need to step outside of our houses!

We had the opportunity to present the work in five different churches in Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan this month. We also had four churches let us know that they would be partnering with us to reach Nigeria with the Gospel! We are so thankful for the giving of God’s people!

It was a privilege for us to be able to be with family to celebrate Resurrection Sunday! Just the thought that we serve a God Who is alive and well today, is able to take care of our every need, and is willing to use sinful man to reach the world should be enough to get anyone excited! Nobody else was ever born like Jesus was born, nobody else ever lived like He lived, nobody else ever died like He died, and nobody else ever rose again like He rose again! Praise the Lord!

Erin and the baby are doing great! Due to her weekly appointments, we have been trying to stay a little closer to home. Being home more has given us the opportunity to help out with some different projects around the church. Painting, working on a missions display, and making some visits have been a few of the areas that we have been able to help in.

Thank you so much for your continued support in praying and in giving financially. Everyone is responsible for the Great Commission. Thank you for doing your part! We know that it takes folks like you to send folks like us.

In His service,

Daniel and Erin Lang
