It is a great joy to communicate again with each of you to make you participate in the development of God’s work in the Dominican Republic. The Lord has been very good to us. In the first three months of this year, we have seen some families join our church, and we have baptized 4 people for the glory of God.

For example, in January, Mrs. Crisel moved down the street from our church and asked a sister if she knew a Catholic church in the area. Carmen told her no, but she knew a church with a better doctrine and where the pastor only taught and preached from the Bible. Crisel told her that she wanted to listen to a pastor like that. The Lord gave me the opportunity to win her for Christ, along with her daughter Ivanna and her little son Arthur, and they have been attending our church for the last two months. The glory be to God!

In the first week of March, we celebrated our annual Missions Conference for pastors and missionaries, “Missions Through the Local Church.” For the first time, more Haitian leaders and brothers attended the conference than Dominicans. What has happened with the situation socio-political in Haiti is that some pastors and missionaries have come to live in the Dominican Republic, and several of our Haitian missionaries and their families attended the conference, along with others of other nationalities we support who work with Haitians. We thank the Lord because we can help these brothers who are going through a great trial due to the gangs that control that impoverished nation. Pastor Pedro da Cunha and Missionary Jeffrey Polanco were our guest speakers this year. Truly, the Lord used them with power.

January and February were also sad months for us because we have seen 13 members emigrate from the country: 5 to Venezuela, 5 to the United States, and 3 more to other towns in the interior of the country. It is noticeable in our meetings that they are missing because they were faithful brothers who always attended church.

Thank you for your prayers on our behalf and for your financial support, which make it possible for us to remain in the forefront for the cause of Christ and the Gospel in favor of those who do not know Him
as their Saviour.

Es un gran gozo comunicarnos de nuevo con cada uno de ustedes, para hacerles participes del desarrollo de la obra de Dios en La Republica Dominicana. El Señor ha sido muy bueno con nosotros, en estos primeros meses de este año hemos visto algunas familias añadirse a nuestra iglesia y hemos bautizado cuatro personas para la Gloria de Dios.

Por ejemplo la señora Crisel, se mudo en Enero, en la misma calle de nuestra iglesia y le pregunto a una hermana si conocía una iglesia católica en el área, la Hna. Carmen le dijo que no, pero que conocía una iglesia con una mejor doctrina donde el pastor, solo enseñaba y predicaba de la Biblia, Crisel, le dijo que quería escuchar un pastor así, el Señor me dio la oportunidad de ganarla para Cristo, y también a Ivanna, su hija, y su pequeño hijo Arthur, y ellos han estado asistiendo por los últimos dos meses, la Gloria es de Dios.

En la primera semana de Marzo, celebramos nuestra Conferencia anual de Misiones, para pastores y misioneros
“Misiones a través de la Iglesia local” por primera vez asistieron mas lideres y hermanos Haitianos a la conferencia, que Dominicanos, lo que ha sucedido con la situación socio-política en Haití, es que sus pastores y misioneros han venido a vivir para La Republica Dominicana, varios de nuestros misioneros haitianos y su familia asistieron a la conferencia, y otros de otras nacionalidades que apoyamos que trabajan con los haitianos. Damos gracias al Señor porque podemos ayudar a estos hermanos que están atravesando una gran prueba, por las gangas que controlan esa empobrecida nación. El Pastor Pedro da Cunha, y el misionero Jeffrey Polanco, fueron nuestros conferencistas invitados este año, en verdad el Señor les uso con poder.

Enero y Febrero, también han sido meses tristes para nosotros, porque hemos visto 13 miembros emigrar del país, cinco para Venezuela, cinco para Estados Unidos, y 3 más para otros pueblos del interior del país, se nota en nuestras reuniones que faltan, pues eran hermanos fieles que siempre se congregaban.

Gracias por sus oraciones a nuestro favor, y por su apoyo económico lo cual hace posible que nos mantengamos en la palestra por la causa de Cristo, y su evangelio; a favor de aquellos que no le conocen como su salvador.
