Israel Alvarez Prayer Letter: Welcome, Isabella Rose! What a joy to be back to our home here in Belize. In December and January, we took a short furlough for the birth of our third daughter, Isabella Rose. She arrived on December 16 and has brought more joy to ours hearts and more pink to our laundry! We are thrilled to add another princess to our family. During our furlough we were able to stay in Wildomar, California, close to Tonya’s family. We were also able to attend the services at our sending church, Faith Baptist Church, pastored by Dr. Bruce Goddard. Our Faith Baptist family was so good to us while we were visiting. We returned to the field encouraged and excited to continue our work for the Lord.

I returned to Belize once during our furlough for a special clinic we hosted in January. Several doctors from a Baptist church in Michigan came and held medical clinics to help the local people in our area. Hundreds of people came out for these clinics and received simple medical treatment for free. We, of course, presented the Gospel to individuals, and 35 trusted Christ as a result. These doctors were a tremendous blessing to us personally, as well as to our community.

Please pray for our Youth Department. We have good teenagers who want to grow in the Lord. Last week we had 7 new teens attend our Saturday night youth service. All of them trusted Christ. We have recently started a discipleship program with the teens. Our desire is for them to grow and seek out God’s will for their lives.

In the first week of March, we had our third Soul-Winning Marathon with Evangelist Jonathan Castro. We took a week and had special services in different villages. We presented the Gospel and gave out Bibles and New Testaments. We went to four schools and villages. We had great results from our efforts. It is a blessing to see God using these village services to bring people to church. More than 2,000 kids and adults were able to listen, and hundreds receive Christ as their Saviour. Please pray that God would open doors for us and that we would see many saved

The construction on our house is almost complete. The next few months will be spent installing the septic system, fencing the property, and getting the electric posts and water put in. Thanks for your continued prayer in this matter. We hope to be able to move into our new home sometime this summer.

Your support and prayers for our ministry and family are always treasured. May God bless your ministry this year.

In Christ,

The Alvarez Family
