Ron Back Prayer Letter: Settling in Down UnderUrgent Update: Pastor Abrell has been admitted to the hospital with stroke-like symptoms.  His left side is mostly paralyzed, and his blood pressure is very high. This happened on the morning of July 4.  Please be in prayer for him and his family at this time. We will update by email with any news.

God is so good! Can you believe that we are already halfway through the year, and my family and I are now on our fourth month here in Australia?! Just a few weeks ago, Anchor Baptist Church passed out over 1,500 John and Romans. From this we have had 2 visitors and 1 receive Christ as Saviour, an islander girl named Larissa! We have seen a total of 3 saved since our last prayer letter. Pastor Abrell has said that the people here act like they have never seen a Bible, and in most cases that is true. We have been able to give almost 100 BEAMS KJV Bibles to new Christians. Also, we have been able to give a sister church over 150 Bibles for their new converts. I praise the Lord that God and His people were so good to give us Bibles for His people here.

My family and I are still trying to get settled in and get that “Aussie” accent. Some of the people say I will never get it, that I’m too old to learn it, but I’m trying. My wife keeps reminding me that I will be turning 42 on July 9. The Lord has allowed us to rent a house in downtown Berwick, and we were able to purchase a minivan for an incredible deal. The Bible institute is going extremely well. I just finished my first term of teaching, and I am studying to teach on the Life of Christ starting July 21.

Please pray for my friend Pastor Brett Sharp in Glenolden, Pennsylvania, as he fell and broke his arm, requiring surgery. Please also pray for Pastor Daniel Ledford. He lost his daughter in a car accident, and he is about to start a ministry in Texas. Please pray for more converts here in Australia and for them to be baptized.

Again, thank you all for making this all possible and allowing us to serve here in Australia.

Sincerely,

Ron Back
