Brian George Prayer Letter: All-Night Prayer Meeting and the Economy in ArgentinaOn the 5th of August, I arrived back in Argentina after going to my sister’s wedding in Harrison, Tennessee. On the following weekend, I planned an all-night prayer meeting for the men of the church. Saturday, the 9th of August, was the day of the great event. We started at 11:00 Saturday evening and continued until 6:00 Sunday morning. Some of the men who were called to preach were able to preach 20 minutes each during the night. We talked about revival and prayed through the night. We started with 36 present, and by 6:00 a.m. we still had 22 present. We had a great time together! Please pray for revival in my life and in the lives of all of our people.

On the 26th of August, another great event happened. We planned three days of training on how to win souls. I have been burdened for our people to learn a lot more about soul winning and to be able to put what they learn into practice. We started on Tuesday night with 68 present for the training. It was exciting to see our people hungry to learn more. By the third night, we had 88 present for the training. The spirit was good, and we learned a lot of practical training on how to win souls. My prayer is to be able to expand this training into a national event so we can train pastors and churches on the practical aspects of how to win souls. You need to praise the Lord!

Wow! For the last four months, we have had people get baptized every Sunday except two. We have been averaging 3 baptized per week. This is good news! Our old portable baptistery is in need of a lot of repairs. An individual who wanted to get baptized donated a swimming pool to the church so he and others could get baptized. Please pray for revival among our people.

The economy here in Argentina is not doing very well. In a local paper, I read a report recently about the inflation rate. It said that last year the inflation rate was at 39%, and the dollar only increased 25% during this 12-month period. The price of food, fuel, clothing, properties, transportation, etc. is going up an average of 4.68% per month. There are a lot of demonstrations in the streets of people asking for pay raises or jobs. There are a lot of reports of robberies all over the city and even out into the rural communities. We praise the Lord for God’s protection on our lives, property, and vehicle.

The need to put a solid fence around our property has been brought to my attention by Dr. Dan Siemer. The fence that we have is in very poor condition. My desire is to put a new fence on the front of our property that faces the street. We would also need to build a new front gate. This fence would prevent robbers from walking onto our property and stealing anything they can find or getting into our house. A solid fence would almost completely eliminate any insecurity and would protect our family from harm. Our home church has given us $1,000 to help with the fence need. Please pray for this need!

We would like to thank you for your love and support. Pray for Argentina! Pray for our goal of starting 100 churches. Praise the Lord that 13 churches have been started so far. May God bless you richly!

Here to serve,
